Red Sox Win American League East For Second Straight Season
The 2017 Red Sox won the American League East with a 93-69 record, finishing two games ahead of the New York Yankees.
It is the first time in more than 100 years that the Red Sox have finished in first place in their league or division for two consecutive seasons. Boston won consecutive pennants in 1915 and 1916.
First-Place Finishes:
American League: 1903, 1904, 1912, 1915, 1916, 1918, 1946, 1967
American League East: 1975, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1995, 2007, 2013, 2016, 2017
Note: Boston finished in second place in the AL East for eight consecutive seasons (1998-2005).

Red Sox Get Swept in First Round for Second Straight Season
I just don't think the boys have it in them. They were starting to fall apart at the end. I mean I HOPE they can pull it out, but all signs point to this being the year of the Indians.
