The Orioles Have Not Beaten An American League Team Since May 25

You read that right.

It's been five weeks since the Baltimore Orioles won a game against an American League team.

To paraphrase Hank Hill, "But, Bobby, you play in the American League."

Way back on May 25, the Orioles beat the Rays 2-0.

Since then:
May 26-27: Lost two games to the Rays

May 28-30: Lost three games to the Nationals

June 1-2: Lost two games to the Yankees

June 5-6: Won two games against the Mets

June 7-10: Lost four games to the Blue Jays (two of which were 10th-inning walkoffs in Toronto)

June 11-13: Lost three games to the Red Sox (one of which was 2-0 in 12 innings)

June 15-17: Lost two of three games to the Marlins

June 19-21: Lost two of three games to the Nationals

June 22-24: Won two of three games against Atlanta

June 25-28: Lost four games to the Mariners

June 29-30: Lost two games to the Angels
So:
Saturday morning, May 26: 17-34, last place in AL East, 18 GB

Sunday morning, July 1: 23-59, last place in AL East, 32 GB*
The Orioles have gone 6-25 over the last five weeks: 6-8 against the National League and 0-17 against the American League.

*: No other MLB team is even 20 GB.
