White Flag. Like White Fang, but toothless.

Agreed. When I see a beach, I feel pretty happy and relaxed.

That doesn't happen when I see Timlin.

for a guy who played an important role in that whole 2004 thing, he's certainly being dumped in the shitter pretty quickly.

But I fully agree if this keeps up.

I love the guy and I'm still pullin' for him. But I'm gonna go with... Piñata. Easy to hit.

Timlin hasn't pitched consistently well since July 2005.

I never wanted him on the 2007 team, just like I'm in no hurry to bring back Millar or Bellhorn.

P.S. Timlin's 2004 stats (regular season: 4.13 ERA and 75 hits in 76.1 IP and post-season: 15 hits and 7 BB in only 11.2 IP) were not all that good.

Stats... Believe it or not, to some fans players are more than the sum of their stats.

from the minute he came back i thought: liability.

i really don't want him around anymore.

ps. wow i was thinking his stats in 2004 (esp. postseason) were better.

pps. i like piñata. (although they sometimes aren't so easy to hit)

No question about it. (I'm not sure why this even needs to be pointed out.) However, I do not put Timlin in that category.

All I care about is Timlin's performance on the mound. His stats are the record of what he has done. And the numbers -- and thus the performance -- ain't good.

But you have to have some way to talk about a player's performance. Stats are that. What should we judge them by, facial hair?

Mid-2007 is quickly? He sucked last year, he sucks this year. Can't keep people around solely for 2004 value.
