I Have An Extra WBC Ticket

I have an extra ticket to next Monday's World Baseball Classic game in Toronto. Anyone out there wanna go?

I've struck out with JoSers and SoSHers I know in the area, so I'm making a general inquiry.

The game is on Monday, March 9 at 6:30 PM. It's Game 3 -- the losers of the two opening games: Canada/USA & Italy/Venezuela. I picked this one since I'd be guaranteed of seeing either Canada or the US. (I'll be at work when they play each other.)

The seats are quite nice -- in the lower level, Aisle 120 (just to the 1B side of the plate), 16th row (map). Ticket price: Cdn$59 (which is US$45.50 if you are from Buffalo or something).

If you're interested, let me know.

I was supposed to go, but my trip to California got changed. Was supposed to be the week of Feb 16, but now I'm leaving the day of the game. Bah.

I was supposed to go, but they scheduled a midterm on Tuesday, March 10...weak. I'm still up for going if no one else is able to go. I would just have to study earlier!

Now who was supposed to go instead of Tim?

Now who was supposed to go instead of Tim?

Let's see: Tim and Woti are in the area but can't make it, of the 3 SoSHers I asked, two are already going with their own tickets and one has not replied. I asked someone at work, but have not heard back from him. Accudart can't come from Vermont -- because he's a dushbag.

Ummmm, who else? I think that's it.

A*Rod's missing the WBC with a cyst on his hip (possibly a bone cyst), but you weren't going to see the DR play anyway.

Where and why California Laura?

I imagine L will reply tomorrow morning, but she's spending a few days with an old friend from NYC (who moved to LA about the time we left for Canada) and a couple of her brother's kids.

One of my closest friends now lives in L.A. Part of the Great NYC Diaspora. She and I are taking a little road trip up to the Bay Area. One of my nieces, a nephew and nephew's g/f lives in Berkeley.

I went in 2007 also, but this year I don't have to miss baseball. Yay.

Nice. I live south of LA. Say hi while you are here...a wave from the plane is sufficient. It's been dreary and damp lately. So sun when you come.

I used to live in the Bay Area. I lived in the Richmond neighbourhood in San Francisco. I really liked it. But, overall, way too much traffic and parking hassles for me, though.
They just built some new huge science museum in Golden Gate Park.

Sadly, that is all I'll have time for. Another blog-friend is squeezing in breakfast and a ride to LAX on Friday morning.

I hope so! For bad weather, my friend could have come here.

I love the Bay Area. I always thought it was the only place in the US outside of NYC that I'd be happy living in. But we never got to test that theory.

When I was an urbanite, I dealt with parking and traffic hassles by not having a car. It worked beautifully.
