Sox have also begun talking with Ortiz about a contract for next year. Flo - who hit .318/.415/.611 (1.026) last year - is reportedly looking for something like 2/25-30.
So he would most likey take 2/ 20-22. Allan would you like the Farrell hiring?
9casey - wasn't that always the plan? BV as an interim manager, then go get Farrell. The first part was such a smashing success - what could possibly go wrong?
"BV as an interim manager, then go get Farrell."
Yeah except it was Maddon. But who knows what's true....
I only ever heard Farrell, not Maddon. ... I'd love Maddon.

I don't really know what he was like in Toronto. A guy at work talked to me about him a few onths ago, and it didn't sound all that great. I should ask him for details.
re Joe Maddon: here are some articles that mention it from last winter, before Maddon got the extension. But I said "who knows what's true" because I don't know if it meant the team was actually trying to get him or if it's just what fans and random reports were hoping for.
