turned on the TV in time to see Lowell walk and Jedi's slam. Not a good day for Perez apparently. couldn't figure out what the fielding error was that didn't nab Papi.

Exhibition...schmabition. let's make this one count.

Not on NESN, huh? I'm not going to have MLB until I'm down in New York, so I guess it's GD for me.

Oh, sweet, it's streaming for free on MLB.TV.

Dice: 4-1-0-4-1, 74.

It's gonna be another one of those years.

Tek with a solo dong, his 5th HR of the spring. Sox up 9-1.

I can't get it. Is the Mets' new stadium spiffy?
And Youk, stay away from those undercooked burritos!

New Mets stadium looks better than New Yankees stadium.

No, really.

Within 5 minutes of us entering Citi Field today, my die-hard Yankee fan friend, who was pretty unimpressed by YS, said, "I never give the Mets credit for anything, but they've got something special here."

It is easily better. A little more crowding in the walking areas, though. A huge step up from Shea, definitely.

To answer Nick's question: That play was essentially the shortest sac fly ever. Papi lines a shot right back to the box. Pitcher catches it, turns around, does a half-lob to second to double off the runner, and it goes into center field between the two guys who were covering. Guy on third is back on the bag, and as soon as the ball gets away, he sprints home.

Sorry, Bay lined out, Papi was on second. Pedroia was the one who hustled home.

My back yard , would have been an upgrade from Shea........Francessa said Yankee stadium is grand and huge and that Citi field has character and at every seat in the park feels close...would you agree Jere...

Yes, Citi takes from the best of the new 'cutters, while Yankee feels like a spit-shined mausoleum.
