This weekend is your last chance to enter the W-L contest.
Prize: A mini Pedro Martinez DVD library.
Where else are you going to get a copy of Pedro's near-no-hitter against the Devil Rays in 2000 (on a night when several Tampa pitchers took target practice at Brian Daubauch's head)? Only here, that's where.
And what about his 17-strikeout performance against the Yankees in 1999, when none of his last 52 pitches were hit into fair territory? Yep. Here.
There are other classics: The Sunday night duel with Fat Billy that Trot Nixon decided with a two-run dong, his nine perfect innings against San Diego for the Expos way back in 1995, those days when he seemingly rolled out of bed and tossed up a 9-4-0-1-14 line...
At least six games will be included. I'm going to try to nail down exactly which ones by Monday. But make no mistake: They will all kick ass.

So email me with your W-L guess (along with the two tiebreakers: Ellsbury's SB and Varitek's OBP) before 9 PM on Sunday. It's free.
As I said before, all entries must be emailed to me. There are two people out there who believe they have entered the contest, but they have not. Any entries that were posted only as a comment will not be considered. I repeat: If you did not send me an email, you are not entered.

Starting on April 7, and continuing on every day during the season the Red Sox do not have a game scheduled, I will emerge from the JoS Cave of Musical Delights for some Off Day Outtakes. This will be similar to last year's "Something Else" series, but this time it's studio demos, alternate versions and unreleased material. I'll take requests, but make no promises.

At this point, if they don't know the rules, there's no hope.
JoS Cave of Musical Delights
Hey, I know that cave! Great stuff in there, if you can find it.
This is, I've got to say, a really fantastic prize. Let me get all Jimmy Rollins for a minute and say that I'm going to win it this year, and there's nothing anyone else can do about it. I prefer the writing on my burned dvd's very small and in green sharpie ink. I don't remember what my guess was, but I can assure you it was dead on balls accurate.
I've always been told that the sessions for Davis's Jack Johnson are really wild and fun to listen to, so I'll throw that out there as a request.
At this point, if they don't know the rules, there's no hope.
I know. Just making it super clear and obvious.

There will be no writing on the discs.
In the space of 14 minutes this morning (10:13-10:27), I received four contest entries -- and all four picked 96 wins!!!
I hope you had my e-mail...
I sit here, in London, in envy that you have a copy of the game that truly sealed my love of the Sox. That Sunday night classic.... I have tried lots of places for that...
Hope to catch up with you lot for some games soon....
Your noble Lord....
Sounds like the Lord should have a copy whether he wins the contest or not.
Then everyone would want one .....
I won't beg any more :-)
