Rangers - 000 000 300 - 3 7 0Buchholz (6.2-6-3-1-10, 114) had allowed only three baserunners through the first six innings, but was hit hard to start the seventh. Two doubles and a single in the span of nine pitches put two Texas runs on the board. The 10 strikeouts was a career high.
Red Sox - 000 000 000 - 0 6 2
Boston could do nothing with Wilson or the two Darrens (O'Day and Oliver). Only one Red Sox runner got to second base -- that was Victor Martinez (who had two singles and a walk) in the seventh inning.C.J. Wilson / Clay Buchholz
Buchholz has pitched quite poorly in his two starts this year. He has a 1.80 ERA, because only two of his seven runs allowed have been earned. In 10 innings, he has given up 10 hits and walked six batters. (And yet his 1.600 WHIP is second best among the starters, which is pretty clear evidence of how shitty the starters have been.)

Teagarden is 0-for-18 this season, though he does have 3 walks and was HBP once.
Any word if Papi and Martinez are in the doghouse? suprised neither ph last night....

No doghouse that I know of.
Tiz could only PH (and not take the field) or replace Lowell at DH. Lowell batted with 2 outs and no one on in both the 7th and 10th. No need for Tiz there.
Martinez was probably given a complete day off.
MFY: 000 011 000 - 2 7 1
OAK: 300 100 00x - 4 4 0
Kurt Suzuki with the 3-run dong off CC in the 1st. CC went 8 for the CG. 2 solo dongs for NY.
buh bye!!

Mmmm mmm OTT
Doesn't mean we have to Mmmm mmm return the favor!
Looks like vintage Clay.
I mean the good vintage.
HH has OCD with a guy on 1B
I just went to look for Tala, found her in a hole she dug, all guilty-looking when she saw me. Now we have two holes in the dirt, one for each dog.
Well, it's not 4-0 yet in this game. That's good news.
sexy curve
Is she not supposed to dig in the dirt? I bet that white dog gets pretty dirty.
Sox have Earth Day logo on the sleeves.
I wonder just how green the whole Red Sox organization really is.
We're lucky, her fur is amazingly self-cleaning. We towel her off and she's clean. In the winter, she shakes snow of herself, and her fur is dry. The northern breeds (huskies, malamutes, etc) have amazing fur.
I like the Sox Earth Day logos.
Oh yeah, digging. She probably once made a huge mess in the dirt and I expressed dismay, hence the guilty ears. But I didn't yell at her for this. Dogs like to dig, what are you gonna do.
I doubt they're very green at all. If they were, they'd tell us about it.
(Or do they and I don't know?)
I think training a dog not to dig is probably almost as futile an exercise as teaching a cat not to chase a mouse or bird! I think it must be more by breed, though. Neither Zapper or Cassie ever was interested in digging.
And yeah, I doubt much is very green about Fenway, except, of course, Fenway itself.
McDonald can field also.
low strike sgetting called tonight
very quiet here
Yankees turned a triple play today. There's something that doesn't happen very often.
Oo that's cool. We saw one in a minor league game in Santa Fe. It's so weird how it takes a moment to realize what you saw.
Hey Westcoast, you on the ground??
I have never seen one. I wonder if Harvey knows. He didn't mention it to me yet.
kkkkkkkkklay
droooooooooooooo
I'm on the ground, in the office, itching to get in the car and listen to some baseball on the way home.
I wonder why NESN thinks we need sound effects when the graphics move or when the inning ends.
We do not.
Tim Wakefield looked like his dog just died.
my voiceover for that was "we're old and on our way out...."
should be 4-0 soon, amy.
Stall, Clay. Tie your shoe. Get something in your eye so Ram Ram can warm up.
JFC. Ball looked like it hit a land mine before reaching Youkilis.
If Ramon Ramirez is our best option out of the pen right now, I'm fine with Clay throwing another 40 pitches.
hello defense
Cue Yakety Sax music.
Hey, I have an idea! What say the Red Sox score some runs?!
Damn, bad time to join the game. By GDGD report, we looked like Keystone Cops out there that last play.
rally?
gammons reports wakefield to bullpen.
So prior to the 7th, Clay was sitting on just 2 hits, 1 walk, and no runs thru 6. I'll take that any day. WTF is up with the meltdown though?
he was cruising, career high 10 K, but three hard hit balls to start the 7th.
I hate it for Wake, but that move makes more sense to me than any other option
we need a 3-run happy meal from mcdonald
ODELAY
.... it's fun time.
Bah. O'Day was painting the left-hand batters box.
last time we had 3 walk-offs in a row?
Clutch pitch
NO bunts!!!!!!!!!

So three down, three outs to go. Third consecutive walkoff?
as long as feliz is not in, there is hope.
At least we broke the chain of 4-0 scores.
Hit!
it's a start.
Blogger acting funny again.
i know - i got your 4-0 comment like 5 times.
And that's the game.
End of walkoff streak.
crap.
in other news, lowell makes any molina look like ellsbury.
Good night, all. Hope we find the bats again next time.
Goodnight all!
Thanks for not putting it through five times. What is Blogger's problem??
no idea. it happens.
they seemed to come in every minute, 10:04, 10:05, 10:06 etc. as long as i can see they are identical, it's easy to boot 'em.
let's hope the 2-14 orioles keep sucking this weekend.
also - we are going to monday's game at skydome!
