Ellsbury Moved Up To Pawtucket

Jacoby Ellsbury has been promoted from Portland to Pawtucket and will start in centerfield for the PawSox tonight.

Ellsbury's .452 average (in 17 games) is the highest batting average of anyone in the minor leagues. He also has a .512 OBP (second best in the minors) and is slugging .653.

According to the PawSox site, Ellsbury hit .529 (9-for-17) for Portland when leading off the first inning and .536 (15-for-28) when leading off any inning.
