Looks like Lester gave up a leadoff home run, but has settled down since. If I am interpreting the box score correctly.

Sox up 3-1, but Lester has an 18.00 ERA after two innings. Something isn't being updated correctly.

Lester is allergic to strikes!

Rish said earlier Lester didn't get an out in the second, maybe that had something to do with the cofusion on the ERA. Or not.

Bailey singles. We're down 6-3 now. Castig said Lester will speak soon. And they said Papelbon, who pitched earlier, is WEARING #24... Nice touch.

Lyndon Ellerbee up with bases loaded. Walks in a run, and we've cut it to 1. This guy Cali has walked two in a row after coming in for the last pitcher who came out with an injury. They force the tying run at the plate. Here's Van Every. Ks to end the inning. Hey, John Rish learned to say "here's the 2-0 pitch," instead of the ridiculous, "here's the third pitch..." 6-5 Twins after 5 and a half.

"Tim Naehring is here--scouting for the Yankees." No! I loved Naehring. Hopefully he's purposely providing false info.

Okay, here's where Rish does a terrible job. Every Sox fan knows about David Pauley's awesome start, that game at Yankee Stadium. However, Rish is sitting there going over the numbers for Pauley, who's pitching for the Sox now, and is just acting like his three games in '06 were meaningless and mediocre. Which would be right just looking at the numbers. Fortunately Castig chimed right in with "but he had a great game at Yankee Stadium," etc.

Insights like this from Jere can be heard tomorrow at 1:00, as I'll be announcing Sox-Twins on YouCastr. I'm gonna do it like a radio call, for the non-NESN people. Feel free to check in. I promise Grady Little won't be mentioned.

Moss knocks in the go-ahead run in the eighth. Woo hoo.

We go bottom 9. If we hold on, we can wrap up the Mayor's Cup tomorrow.

(Not the one that lives in Sean Casey's pants.)

Win. We are a juggernaut.

Heh, I agree. You know you're a juggernaut when the actual juggernaut has already come out of the game and the reserves are doing the dirty work, such as smacking a dong to tie the score, and then winning the game.

I expected Jere (or someone) to be around for last night's game, but it was only me. And I left in the 5th.
