Beckett To DL; Hansack Goes Friday

Tito on the post-game show: Josh Beckett will be put on the DL (missing two starts) and Devern Hansack will start Friday night.

Sunday's pitcher was not announced, but the Sac will likely be sent back down after his start and Kason Gabbard will come up to pitch on Sunday. Daisuke Matsuzaka pitches on Saturday.

The probables for Yankees series in New York:
Tim Wakefield / Mike Mussina
Curt Schilling / Chien Ming-Wang
Julian Tavarez / Andy Pettitte
With the day off on Thursday the 24th, a fifth starter will not be needed until Beckett returns on the May 29.

We're looking good...and how about Hideki "Oki---the Darkman" Okajima!
WOW! If there's a game tonight in Boston, I'll be a monkey's uncle....but...I think I already am! Take care and have a great weekend. 28-12.....MY goodness.

I love Peter's comments, they're consistently awesome.

I'm heartily looking forward to the Nicaraguan's start tonight, hoping he can do to Atlanta what he did to the O's last season.

If you are going tonihgt, damn, bundle up. It's May Freaking 18th, and it's in the low 40s and feels a hell of a lot colder. Haven't the baseball gods hurt us enough this year? Don't they realize we need steady baseball to keep from insanity?
