The official date for the arrival of pitchers and catchers is Thursday, but Jon Lester, Clay Buchholz, Josh Beckett and Daisuke Matsuzaka are already in Fort Myers.
nice work on the vid, red sock - i'm looking forward to another great year here at Joy Nation, hanging out with all my friends of the intertubes. haha...going to be a different season for me, as this will be the first time that i will be in school over the summer time (and back at work for the playoffs)...MLB.TV is going to really come in handy this summer. don't know where i'm living yet but chances are that i won't have a satellite dish and i definitely won't be subscribing to EI...and I can watch MLB.TV during my one night class ;-) but yeah, i can hook the laptop up to the TV and watch it through that so i'll be set in that respect. may consider upgrading to the 700kb package though...
[/random rant no one cares about]
loving dice's quasi-mullet, but i think he may trim it up before the regular season...if not, i wouldn't be surprised though....
I expect Dice-K to make a great leap forward this season a la Becket, and in fact think it's more likely than not. It is amazing to me that so few of the analysts predict this, and that they so casually write off last season as representing Matsusaka's real level of performance. Given everything he had to adjust to---new country, team, culture, language, food, work-load, hitters, strike-zone---he did remarkably well, and we saw periodic flashes of what he was capable of. I think the Sox will have two #1 pitchers next season (while the Yankees, of course, have none.)

I'm with you Jack - I'm really looking forward to seeing Matsuzaka pitch this year. And Clay for that matter.
(And watching Becks is always a good time too... I guess what I'm basically saying is that I can't wait to see this season get underway!)
