Boston went 15-12 in July, batting .285 (tied for 4th), slugging .446 (4th) and putting up an on-base percentage of .367 (2nd). The Yankees topped the AL in all three categories: .319/.390/.526.

The Sox's team ERA was 3.66, second to Toronto's 3.40. They allowed the third fewest runs (107), behind Toronto (90) and Baltimore (102). So far in 2007, the Sox starters' ERA is 4.17 (3rd in the AL; NY is 10th) and the pen ERA is 2.74 (1st in MLB; NY is 7th in the AL, 14th overall).

The Yankees went 19-9 in July. Their run total of 202 (7.2 per game) was well ahead of second-place Boston (153).

Yes, WMP's July OBP+SLG was higher than Varitek's: .768 to .765.

Snuffer allowed 2 HRs, inflating his ERA while his WHIP stayed nice and low.

I still see the boldness in Safari (in all of the posts except for the most recent one), but not in Firefox. Mysterious. I can send you a screen shot if you care.

I believe you. It's weird, but I don't think it's anything I'm doing (or not doing).
