&: Amalie Benjamin is no longer the Globe's beat writer, though she will remain at the paper. Sadly, she will likely not be replacing CHB.

I don't know if he created it, but ToeKneeArmAss posted this to SoSH:

Seeing Morgan and CHB bounced from their respective jobs in the same week? I don't think we've reached the land of milk and honey yet.

So what chance do you think that Francona has to land AL Manager of the Year? With all the trips to the DL made by key personnel, he still managed to grind out 89 wins and have the second-highest offensive run total in all of MLB. Seems like a makings of a strong candidate to me.

I'd say Francona is a 50-1 dog to win, while Ron Washington is about a 1-10 favorite.

Based on the results of the shortstop voting, I'd say Yogi Berra will win the manager award. Apparently it's just a name recognition thing.
