Manfred Laughs And Smirks, Cracks Jokes Before Canceling First Week Of 2022 Season

MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred laughed and smirked during Tuesday afternoon's press conference . He cracked jokes and generally looked like he was enjoying himself. He also cancelled the first two series of the 2022 season — and more games will certainly be trashed in the weeks ahead.

"You could not invent a more disastrous public face for the game of baseball if you tried."

This asshole, whose every word and action telegraphs his intense desire to kill baseball, whose annual salary is $11 fucking million, cried poverty, claiming revenue has been "difficult" for MLB over the last five years. In 2019 (the last full season before the pandemic), MLB raked in a record-setting $11 billion in revenue. That's one example of the bullshit being shoveled this afternoon.
