Unable to poke, the second-place Yankees are down to hope.
In the latest performance of Men Without Bats, the Yankees dropped a 2-1 decision to the morbid Indians Wednesday night in front of 18,844 at Progressive Field.
It was the Yankees' fifth straight loss and placed them a half game back of the sizzling Blue Jays who have won 10 in a row and have the free-falling Yankees in Toronto for three games this weekend. ...
During the five-game losing streak, the Yankees have scored six runs and are batting .148 (26-for-176) overall and .105 (2-for-19) with runners in scoring position.
