The Red Son won their third consecutive game by shutout, tying a team record. It was the tenth* time Boston pitchers have thrown three straight shutouts.

Elias Sports reports that this was the first time the Red Sox have ever won three straight games by shutout in games started by left-handed pitchers.

Not only did the Orioles not touch home plate for three days, they managed to get only two runners as far as third base in 27 innings.
