Red Sox 5, Yankees 3

Red Sox - 000 001 301 - 5 10 0
Yankees - 000 001 002 - 3 7 0
Eammonn Portice retired Ramiro Pena on a grounder to second with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth, after Tony Pena Jr. had a bit of a meltdown: single, HBP, wild pitch, single, K, F7, walk, walk.

Daniel Nava's single got Boston on the board in the sixth. Juan Carlos Linraes singled in a run with two outs in the seventh, and Oscar Tejada hit a two-run triple.

Linares, Tejada, Jose Iglesias, and Drew Sutton each had two hits. Linares scored twice, and Tejada knocked in three.

Clay Buchholz pitched three innings, allowing one hit and walking two, with two strikeouts.

Worth noting maybe: I sat here listening to very scratchy AM radio feed, wondering why in hell MLB had not automatically renewed my audio subscription Mar 1. Come to find out, my credit card details (unchanged in fact) no longer worked, so, fine, I tried buying GD audio as a new subscriber with no luck--couldn't get the interface to allow me to 'Buy Now'--not with either credit card.

If I bitch about MLB.com here, will Bud Selig fine me?

"We are sorry, but you have reached this page in error.

Please try the action again and, if the problem continues, contact Customer Service."

Now I can't even get to the page where they refuse to let me buy after I've entered my credit card details. WTF! That's no way to run a multibillion dollar biz--aren't they hot for my $19.95?

aren't they hot for my $19.95?

I think you have to spend more than that for the process to work. Try the $120 option!!!

(mlbtv worked for me last night)

It's funny, allan--you were right. When I try to subscribe to the audio, the interface does not allow me to buy. When I offered to buy the tv feed, 'Buy Now' popped up, ready to rock & roll.

Are they really trying to bait and switch?

What would I see on my computer in Maine if I did have the tv feed?
