Red Sox & Rooters, 1912 World Series

Two pictures taken at the Polo Grounds, before the first game of the 1912 World Series. Boston's Smoky Joe Wood held on for a 4-3 victory over the Giants, striking out the final two batters of the game, with the tying run on third, and the winning run on second.
