Ramirez To Get MRI

Manny Ramirez left last night's game in the fourth inning because of a sore knee. He will undergo various tests today, including an MRI.

Gordon Edes says Francona "looked and sounded concerned that this may be more than a minor tweak" and reminds us of the BP report during the All-Star break that Ramirez was playing with a small tear in his meniscus.

What Tito says and what Tito thinks is alien to all of us. Not always, but some of the time. But as someone, me, on his blog this morning, came down hard on Manny and what Manny is, positive and negative, well, I changed my tune. Hope you check the posts out. And as always, your thoughts are so much needed in this, the late August of a season that we will never forget. I hope. I mean, who knows?? This could be the start of a remarkable stretch.

This will, no doubt, provoke the usual ridiculous response from the ungrateful wrongheaded Manny-haters who will then call in sick because of their late summer sniffles.

But kudos on heading the argument off the other day by tracking down the statistics of Manny's games played. I always count on your blog for well researched insight to balance out the kangaroo court of the Boston Media.

Allan, have you thought of sending out these stats, as you did with the Papi Walk-Off numbers? At least to Edes, who deserves them, and makes good use of your material (and gives you credit!). Maybe to Ian Browne as well.

I hope you will.
